CHIMPANZEES ARE THE MOST INGENIOUS TOO-USER on the planet, apart from ourselves. They not only use ready-made tools, such as stones for anvils or weapons, but also create new ones for many specific purposes. In some cases, different groups of chimpanzees have developed different tools and techniques to perform similar jobs. These are learnt by the youngster, and passed on down the generation.
